1928 was the year of the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. However this was not the only memorable event in Amsterdam that year, as Karel Johan Teijsen our (great) grandfather), started his own natural casing production company.

After some difficult years in the Netherlands, and therefore in the company as well, our (grand) father Gijsbert Teijsen, also known as Beppie Teijsen, joined the family business and slowly took the full responsibility of the company, from the slaughterhouse in Amsterdam.

Beppie Teijsen joined forces with another family company working at the Amsterdam slaughterhouse: family Van Den Hengel.

In the meantime the 3rd generation of the Teijsen Family joined the company. In 1985, Mr. Teijsen and brothers Van Den Hengel decided to transfer their shares to Karel, Jeroen, René and Simone Teijsen.

The company moved to a new facility and quickly grew out to be an international market leader for natural hog casings and meat-by products, in the following years.

After 47 years the family decided to leave the company and look for other opportunities

The family Teijsen, was out of the natural casing business, however the natural casing business never left the hearts of the family. After two years, the family decided to start the family owned business Teijsen BV and restarted its business activities in natural casings.

With the presence of former companion Mr. Manus van den Hengel, Bep and Loes Teijsen had the honor of setting the foundation stone of Teijsen BV.

Later that year, as the construction finished, Teijsen BV was up and running and started its activities from the new production facility in Zeewolde, the Netherlands.

Teijsen BV started its own selection facility in China, named Hunan Angel Foodstuff Co., Ltd on 04-05-2016.

Besides the natural casings, Teijsen BV started its own meat import company in China. In these activities we globally purchase, import, sell and distribute all kinds of meat products for different customers in the Chinese market.

Before the global Pandemic of Covid-19 Virus started its uprising early 2020, Teijsen BV already started to build a new state of the art selection facility for natural casings. In 2022 the production of this new company named: Hunan Divine Foodstuff Technology Co., Ltd

Son of Karel Teijsen, Ruben and son of Simone Fiere Teijsen, Nick Fiere; have joined as co-shareholders of the Teijsen group, where they have fulfilled a management position for several years.
